Terms & booking conditions
Please read these conditions before you book. They apply to all private boat charters arranged by Samui Explorer.
Booking confirmation
Full payment (100%) is required to confirm a booking. Once we have received your payment, your charter is confirmed and we will send you detailed instructions by email.
Payment methods
Payment is made by credit card through the Omise payment platform. Customers with a Thai bank account can also pay through Omise.
Cancellation policy
Private boat charters
This applies to all boats, including yachts, luxury longtail boats and speedboats. To receive a full refund, you must cancel between 48 hours and 3 weeks before the charter date. The notice period depends on the operator, so please check it with us for your boat.
Weather conditions
If the operator cancels the charter because the weather changes before or on the morning of the trip, you will receive a full refund. If your plans are flexible, we can move the charter to another date agreed with you.
If you decide yourself that the weather is unsuitable and cancel, no refund is given and the full charter price is charged where applicable.
If the weather gets worse during the trip, or the captain expects dangerous conditions, the boat will return to shore for your safety. No refund is given if a charter is cut short.
Illness
If you cancel because of illness, we will provide a receipt and a confirmation on request, so that you can claim a refund from your travel insurance.
Wild animals
Please do not touch wild animals on the islands, as this is not covered by the tour insurance. You are responsible for your own safety and that of your family, and we cannot be held responsible for any incidents that may occur.
Administration fee
If we have prepared a customised itinerary for you and you then cancel, an administration fee of 500 THB is deducted from your refund, together with any bank charges.
